SHORT TITLE : National Tourism Policy Act of 2004
ABSTRACT : "National Tourism Policy Act of 2004". Our tourism industry has grown over the years at an impressive rate. However, the impressive tourism record should not blind us to the alarming state of degradation to our environment and our cultural traditions. This measure aims to guide the course and pace of tourism development in the country and to ensure the continuity of tourism programs. It promotes ecotourism as a strategy for low-impact, environmentally sound and community participatory programs that promotes a balance between economic development and environment and natural resource protection.
