FULL TITLE : AN ACT CREATING A NATIONAL LAND USE CODE, PROVIDING IMPLEMENTING MECHANISMS THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
SHORT TITLE : National Land Use Code of 2004
ABSTRACT : "National Land Use Code of 2004". There is an urgent need for a land use code that will allocate land to various competing uses, preserve prime farm lands specially irrigated fields for agricultural purposes, and ensure community participation in defining local land use. The bill provides that a national land use framework be established to define the indicative priorities for land utilization and allocation. A land use policy administration will also be created to set national land use planning and zoning guidelines and standards.
