SHORT TITLE : Heavy Equipment Registration Act of 2004 | |
ABSTRACT : "Heavy Equipment Registration Act of 2004". The measure provides for the mandatory registration of heavy equipment throughout the country. The need for the compulsory registration of heavy equipment is imperative in order to: a) monitor the availabity of construction equipment vis-a-vis the infrastructure needs of the country; b) generate substantial income the government; and c) prevent misrepresentation by unscrupulous contractors as to the ownership of heavy equipment. | |
