FULL TITLE : AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL TOURISM POLICY AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR | |
SHORT TITLE : National Tourism Policy Act of 2004 | |
ABSTRACT : "National Tourism Policy Act of 2004." This bill states that the national policy for tourism must: 1) guide the course and pace of tourism development and ensure continuity of programs; 2) coordinate the functions and resources of government agencies in tourism programs and enlist the participation of the private sector, local communities and indigenous peoples towards the attainment of such policies; and 3) improve the quality of life of the people by promoting ecotourism as a strategy for low-impact, environmentally sound and community participatory tourism programs that promote a balance between economic development and environment and natural resource protection. | |

Abstract
"National Tourism Policy Act of 2004."
