FULL TITLE : AN ACT TO AMEND PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NINE HUNDRED FIFTY SEVEN (PD 957) TO INCREASE THE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF
ABSTRACT : Seeks to impose penalties for violation of PD 957 otherwise known as the law regulating the sale of subdivision lots and condominiums, to wit: a) on the first offense, a fine of not more that P500,000.00 or 100% of the total purchase price of the properties sold whichever is higher and/or imprisonment of not more than 4 years, at the discretion of the court; b) on the second offense, a fine of not more that P700,000.00 or 100% of the total purchase price of the properties sold whichever is higher and/or imprisonment of not more than 7 years, at the discretion of the court; c) on the third offense, a fine of not more that P1,000,000.00 or 100% of the total purchase price of the properties sold whichever is higher and/or imprisonment of not more than 10 years, at the discretion of the court, the business permit shall be revoked or canceled.
