| SHORT TITLE : National Police Commission Act of 2004 |
| ABSTRACT : "National Police Commission Act of 2004." Some of the salient features of the bill include: a) it places the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) under the Office of the President; b) it provides for the creation of NAPOLCOM District Offices corresponding to the congressional districts; c) it places the PNP Internal Affairs Service under the NAPOLCOM's Internal Affairs Bureau; and d) it authorizes the Mayor and the Governor, as NAPOLCOM deputies, to command the Chief of Police and the PNP Provincial Director, respectively, to ensure the peace and order in their locality. |
