ABSTRACT : An ordinary applying vying for a certain job is required by his prospective employer to present a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance and a police clearance to determine his integrity, character and trustworthiness. The same should be required of a candidate for public office to show that he has always observed good conduct and has obeyed the laws. This measure seeks to require the presentation of an NBI clearance and police clearance as additional requirements in the filing of certificates of candidacy of persons aspiring to run for public office.

Abstract

An ordinary applying vying for a certain job is required by his prospective employer to present a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance and a police clearance to determine his integrity, character and trustworthiness. The same should be required of a candidate for public office to show that he has always observed good conduct and has obeyed the laws. This measure seeks to require the presentation of an NBI clearance and police clearance as additional requirements in the filing of certificates of candidacy of persons aspiring to run for public office.'
