| SHORT TITLE : Emergency Health Powers Act | |
| ABSTRACT : "Emergency Health Powers Act". It is imperative that a plan of action be established to counteract the emergence of contagions like SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome). The need is made even more urgent with the threat of a deliberate outbreak via bioterrosm. The bill seeks to establish a Public Health Emergency Council which shall draw up a battle plan against public health emergencies and to implement the same. It aims to give us a fighting chance against biological, chemical or nuclear health treats through preparation, management and disposal. | |

Abstract
