FULL TITLE : AN ACT AMENDING SECTIONS 141, 142, 143, 144 AND 145 OF THE NATIONAL INTERNAL REVENUE CODE OF 1997
ABSTRACT : The bill proposes to increase the existing excise tax rate on tobacco and alcohol products or "sin products" and to index the same to inflation. It further proposes the removal of the codal classification of excisable products by brand. The passage of the bill is expected to generate at least PhP 4 billion in the first year of implementation.
