| ABSTRACT : This bill seeks to give recognition to the role of micro enterprises which has been tradionally lumped as part of the small enterprise sector. It further seeks to broaden the membership of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development (SMED) Council to include members from the executive and legislative branches. Among other major amendments to RA 6977, it proposes to rename the SMED Council to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (MSMED) Council. | |

Abstract
This bill seeks to give recognition to the role of micro enterprises which has been tradionally lumped as part of the small enterprise sector. It further seeks to broaden the membership of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development (SMED) Council to include members from the executive and legislative branches.
