SHORT TITLE : Control Youth Access to Tobacco Act of 2004 |
ABSTRACT : "Control Youth Access to Tobacco Act of 2004. To protect the youth from the harmful effects of cigarette smoking, the bill limits the sale of tobacco products through vending machines to establishments where individuals below 18 years old (the proposed minimum age for the purchase of cigarettes) are not given access. It requires retail outlets selling cigarettes to prominently display a sign indicating the minimum age requirement. |
