ABSTRACT : At present, the sale of prepaid cards for cellular and landline telephones are not subjected to any taxes. The bill requires all telephone companies to register with the Department of Trade and Industry and the Bureau of Internal Revenue all prepaid cards prior to sale to enable the BIR to collect the correct taxes.
