ABSTRACT : The bill seeks to increase the excise tax rates imposed on alcohol and tobacco products by 18% over and above the mandated 12% increase provided under RA 8240. Likewise, the measure proposes another 15% increase in excise tax rates three years after the effectivity of the law.
