FULL TITLE : AN ACT TO ESTABLISH THE MAGNA CARTA FOR BARANGAYS
SHORT TITLE : The Magna Carta For Barangays
ABSTRACT : "The Magna Carta for Barangays." Seeks to provide the following, among others: a) for the entitlement of barangay officials to be considered as regular government employees; b) for the construction of infrastructures, such as public schools, health centers and barangay halls in every barangay; c) improvement of funds transfer from provincial/municipal unit to the barangay for the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges; d) provision of better public transportation system in every barangay; e) enact the automatic release of barangays’ share from the national taxes as well as mandatory share of barangays in revenue, fees and other charges; and f) increasing employment opportunities by giving priority employment for barangay units and its residents.

Abstract

"The Magna Carta for Barangays."
