SHORT TITLE : Infectious Disease Emergency Preparedness Act of 2004 |
ABSTRACT : "Infectious Disease Emergency Preparedness Act of 2004." This bill authorizes the isolation and quarantine of those infected as measures to control infectious diseases. It establishes an emergency preparedness plan to prevent and suppress the spread of infectious diseases and other epidemics by undertaking medical examination and treatment of overseas Filipino workers while abroad, and authorizes the arrest, apprehension, detention or conditional release of individuals to prevent the introduction, transmission or spread of suspected infectious diseases. |
